Janet Goltz

Art has been integral to Janet's life from early childhood, throughout her education, into her work as a commercial designer, and now in retirement with a renewed focus on producing fine art.  She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's or Fine Arts (cum laud) and subsequently led her corporate interior design firm for over 30 years with an eye and affinity to detail that she carries forward into creating botanical watercolors.

Janet is an avid gardener at her Bloomington Minnesota home where she finds "botanical inspiration" in its natural woodland setting and the adjoining 80 acre nature preserve.  She has taken watercolor classes through the Minnesota School of Botanical Art, the Edina Art Center, and the Bloomington Art Center, and is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Great River Chapter of ASBA.
