Great Britain has been a center in the world of botanical illustration, ever since British artists of the 18th century set the standard for the discovery, study and documentation of our natural world. The juried exhibits of the Royal Horticultural Society in England and the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society in Scotland are a highlight in the careers of those botanical artists who are selected for them.  We in the Great River Chapter are fortunate to have several members who have been so honored.

Join us on Saturday, October 26 for a panel discussion and learn just how and why you can aspire to these exhibits.  Panelists Denise Walser-Kolar, Nancy Gehrig and Kathy Creger will discuss the application and selection process, getting your work from here to there, and lively reminiscences of each of their experiences along with photos and samples of their work.

For the novice, this will be an inspiration, and for the more experienced illustrator, a roadmap.  To the other RHS veterans in our midst, please bring your stories to add to the mix.
