Event:  Wild about Wildflowers

Location:  University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

When: May 19, 2012 from 11 AM to 3 PM

Join us for a wildflower filled day!  At 11 AM Anderson Horticultural Head Librarian, Kathy Allen will show us a collection of prints and books illustrating wildflowers from the Holy Land and from the Americas.  These books are usually not shown, as they reside in the Arboretum’s Rare Book Room, but Kathy will be taking them out, for us.

The talk from 11 to 12 and studio time from 12 to 3 will take place in the private room at the far end of the large dinning room.  After the talk, we can stroll the Arboretum’s Wildflower walk and see what’s blooming.  We can have lunch in the cafeteria and then paint/draw and work in a group, on our own paintings between 12 PM & 3 PM.

The admissions fee is waived if you tell the person at the gate you are here for the Wild about Wildflowers event.
